Notice of the 2026 Annual Meeting of Enrolled Members

 

The Annual Meeting of the Parish of Darlington-Bellevue will be held in the Parish Centre on Sunday, 21 June 2026 at 10.30 am, following the 9am Eucharist at St Cuthbert’s Church, corner of Darlington and Hillsden Roads, Darlington WA.

The Annual Meeting is governed by the Parish Governance Statute 2016.

 The meeting will:

  1. Receive the Financial Report which will include:

-            the audited report of income and expenditure and

-            a budget of anticipated income and expenditure for the 2026-27 financial year.

 

2. Elect and/or appoint:

Wardens: Primarily, Wardens are responsible for the physical property of the Worshipping Community. In our case, this includes the church building, Parish Centre, lych gate, rectory, and grounds. The Annual meeting determines if it will elect one or two wardens.

Parish Councillors:  The Parish Council is the administrative body of the Worshipping Community. It consists of the Wardens, plus 4, 8, or 12 members. The Annual Meeting determines the number of Councillors then elects three-quarters of the Councillors, and the Rector may appoint one quarter.

Nominators of Clergy: If the position of Rector falls vacant, the four Nominators one of whom is a Warden and three elected by the Annual Meeting. The Diocesan Nominators, the Archdeacon, and the Area Bishop. They undertake a search and recommend a suitable person for the Archbishop to appoint.

Enrolled Members

Only Enrolled Members are eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting and stand for election.

There will be a copy of the current Electoral roll on the Annual Meeting table at morning tea on the Sundays leading to the Annual Meeting, if your name is not on the roll please complete an Application for Enrolment before the meeting.

 Nominations

Nomination forms are available on the Annual Meeting table in the Parish Centre.

Nomination forms are to be placed in the “Nomination Box” in the Parish Centre or by handing the form directly to The Reverend Peregrin Campbell-Osgood.

Nominations close at 12 noon on Sunday the 14th of June 2026

 General Business

 Enrolled members need to submit items for consideration by the Annual Meeting in writing to The Reverend Peregrin Campbell-Osgood at priest@hillsanglicans.com before 10.30 am on 7th June 2026

Annual Report

Groups are requested to submit their Annual Reports to The Reverend Peregrin Campbell-Osgood at  priest@hillsanglicans.com by the 30 May 2026 for inclusion in the Annual Report.
